5th Generation Farm Family
Dean's great, great grandfather emigrated from Alsace, France in the mid-1800's and settled in Central Illinois within a few minutes drive of Stephanie and Dean's present location. For nearly 170 years the Poignants have raised crops and livestock. These generations Dean and Stephanie continue this tradition well into the 21st Century, and try to hold on to those same ideals. On our farm we grow row crops such as corn and soybeans as many other Midwestern farmers; however, in recent years we have expanded our products to include honeybees, cherries, and poultry.
